1. Topic
Students will focus on the Critical Issue below:
The role of socioeconomic status in adolescent mental health.
2. Research Component
Each group will:
· Locate four current articles (published within the last eight years) peer-reviewed journal articles relevant to their chosen topic.
· Summarize the key findings of these articles, including:
o The main research questions.
o Methodologies used in the studies.
o Key findings and conclusions.
3. Analysis and Application
You will all analyze the findings from the articles and address the following questions:
· How do the findings relate to theories of human behavior and the social environment?
· What are the implications of the research for social work practice with adolescents?
· How can social workers use this knowledge to develop interventions or advocate for policy changes?
4. Presentation Creation
The group will create a 15-minute PowerPoint Presentation to share their findings and analysis with the class. The presentation must include:
· A clear and engaging introduction to the topic.

· A summary of the findings from the journal articles.
· Visual aids such as slides, infographics, or charts to highlight key points.

Groups are required to use technology to enhance their presentations. Options include:
