The second response paper should be similar to the first one. The paper should be around a page in length, give or take 1/4 page. It should be doubled spaced, should have a title, and should follow the MLA format as mentioned on the syllabus. There is NO RESEARCH (unless the question allows for it) as this papers should be your own personal response. Remember, this is a reflective paper and not a critical paper. You may receive a zero if you do not follow instructions. Also, I noticed a few of you using AI on your first paper. One problem with that is that AI does not answer the question. The other problem is that any AI-generated response is not your own work, and it will receive a zero. I will put every paper through an AI-generator detector. You should also mention the author/work/thematic idea in the beginning of your paragraph as in: “Poe talks about a lot of dark ideas deeply embedded in our own psyches, and I, too, have a lot of dark thoughts like we might discover in one of Poe’s tortured characters.” Make sure you connect a work to your response.
