“To what extent has domestic support maintained the momentum for Russian war efforts? use three wars to draw comparison in relation to this issue

This essay assignment is for a module entitled “Russia at war since 1812”.

For this essay I want to analyse the factors that have effected domestic support and the impact domestic support had on the war effort.
The three wars I want to compare are: The 1905 Russo-japanese war
WW2
 Afghanistan
The essay is to be structured so that roughly 750 words are dedicates to each war with some comparisons drawn- if you struggle to find direct comparisons don’t worry just make sure to focus on domestic support and how it impacted that war effort. Remember you are writing specifically about the Russian experience of war so anything other than writing about how Russian domestic support compared with whoever they were at war with (especially a factor in why Russia lost in 1905) is not relevant. 

For the Afghanistan war you can write about the Committee of Soldiers Mothers of Russia.

If you are struggling to find anything on one of the wars I’ve given you, you may write about domestic support for the current conflict in Ukraine, if you do you can use some news articles as sources.
I usually get sources from JSTOR but anything from Google scholar is probably fine. PLEASE LEAVE A WEBSITE LINK FOR EACH SOURCE so I can check all the sources. Ask me anything that is not clear. if you could send it by midday (UK time) on the 12th that’d be ideal but 1pm is fine.
