two different contemporary (within 20 years) electoral processes or political movements of the Caribbean

Special Project (Presentation)

  1. Students will compare either two different contemporary(within 20 years) electoral processes or political movements of the Caribbean (within or between countries) and present it in a Power Point (PPT) presentation (8-15 slides), including images and audiovisual material. Students could also choose to upload their presentation in a video format, or to add voice over the PPT in VoiceThread. Examples include:  the political independence movements of the 21th century of PR and Guadeloupe; 21st century social protests of Haiti and the Dominican Republic; the electoral processes of Cuba vs Dominican Republic; the electoral process of Jamaica in the last two decades, and so forth.
  2. Include an introduction slide (indicating a rationale for choosing your comparative topic) and a conclusion slide (on how the actual comparison resulted to be).
  3. You will share the presentation with me and the classmates through the Discussion Board (your grading will be based on the URL link or file you share in the Discussion Board).
  4.  Upload your PPT file in the Discussion Board or paste the URL link of your Canvas presentation, Google Slides or YouTube video.
