In this paper, you will select a peer-reviewed article of your choice and write a five-page article critique. The associated rubric provides more information about how this assignment will be graded. Although you must write a minimum of 5 pages, I will not deduct points if you write more than 5 pages.

You may select a peer-reviewed article to critique from the Article Critique References List. You may also search the Alkek Library for new peer-reviewed articles. You can explain in your essay why you selected a particular article to critique.

Note: A critique is not a summary of the article or a book report. The article critique is your analysis of the article/author’s strengths and weaknesses as it pertains to STEM, academia, and the workplace. Your critique will include the items you agree with and disagree with (and the reason why). It is best to back up your stance with statistics and authoritative quotes (which you will include in APA format). Select a STEM article that you find interesting.
