UNDERSTANDING Human Interpersonal Violence and Animal Abuse in Childhood impact on human-directed crimes

The practice of child abuse and animal abuse has a potential contribution or link to adult interpersonal violence and humans directed crimes. This paper will show link between how childhood abuse can lead to animal abuse which will further develop into human directed crimed. This paper will focus on why practice of animal abuse is not as recognized and why animals are abused. There has been many changes in early 20th century in favor of animals. Therefore, It is crucial to consider the historical context of these changes to reinforce appreciation of their impact over time with respect to the reduction of human-directed crime and animal abuse. Therefore, in this paper, we will first discuss the initial recognition of animal abuse and its link to interpersonal conflict, followed by the contemporary changes in societal policies.
