The class is related to Health information management and the topic i would like choose as my experience is the 1.5 years as a co president for a social justice committee in a small rural town. I was one of the youngest on the committee but displayed ample amounts of leadership skills. I can provide any other information as needed.
Using the Critical Thinking Model from the Thinker’s Guide to Analytic Thinking (focus on pages 14-21), reflect on a scenario where you decided to take a leadership role. It can be any type of leadership role, whether in your personal or professional life. Consider the logic of your decision. What were the elements of your reasoning? Each of the components of the elements of thought (purpose, question, information, interpretation/inference, etc.) included in the Critical Thinking Model need to be explicitly identified in your submission.
Next, analyze your experience in relation to the four functions of management (planning, organizing, leading/directing, & controlling):
Identify the ways in which you incorporated each of these functions in the leadership experience. Or, if you didn’t, discuss how you could have.
Also analyze your level of conceptual, human, and technical skill. How did you use these skills to perform the four management functions?
Be sure to cite any sources you use as part of your analytic thinking, reflection, and/or decision-making process in correct APA style.
