We are writing a research essay arguing that your chosen topic has improved or become worse. You can write about anything that has two sides to the argument.

This can be any topic and, after the first two sources, can be journalistics sources if necessary. I need to have a thesis statement that picks a side and there can be no No “I” narrator in this essay. It should include a current rundown of the situation of the topic. Each body paragraph must have at least one direct quote from a .edu source with an in-text citation. If you have two .edu direct quotes, then your third direct quote can be from a journalistic source that is an authority on the subject and direct quotes need signal phrases and in-text citations. The topic should be narrow and focused and the paper should include a works cited page.

Introduction should provide a clear introduction outlining the purpose, scope, and significance of the research. Clearly state the research questions or objectives.

Evidence should be presented in an organized manner, across at least 3 body paragraphs and include at least two .edu sources, a direct quote in each body paragraph, along with signal phrases and in-text citations.

The analysis should answer any relevant research questions, offer interpretations of the results and identify trends, or significant findings, as well as provide a link between the evidence findings and the thesis statement.

The conclusion should summarize the key findings and possibly offer practical recommendations based on the research results or potential avenues for future changes.
