Week 1 – Assignment: Illustrate the Differences Between Positive and Humanistic Psychology

This week, you will examine whether positive psychology is a new area of psychology or a reimagining of humanistic psychology. 

Based on this week’s resources and additional research, create two Word Clouds. The first should be based on positive psychology, the second one should be based on humanistic psychology. Be sure to include your Word Clouds in your assignment submission. 

Next, prepare a written analysis of your results. Begin by explaining positive psychology and humanistic psychology, including definitions supported by scholarly research. Examine how these subfields are inter-related and how they differ. Include the results from your Word Clouds in your analysis. Reflect on how preparing these Word Clouds allowed you to better understand the two areas of positive psychology and humanistic psychology. Provide examples to support your thoughts and findings. 

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages, but including your Word Clouds 

References: Include a minimum of five scholarly resources
