- Every student is expected to write on an Energy Business item (related to the upstream/midstream/downstream sectors, covering any of the following: Business, Management, Accounting, Finance (including Acquisitions/Divestitures), or Marketing) featured in the news media. This could be from the news during the week or an older article. Your post must be related to the chapter covered that week in class. Your post should be organized in 2 paragraphs; the first paragraph briefly explains important highlights on the item/link posted, and the second paragraph is your opinion on the item and its connection to the class material.
- Every student will be expected to read and provide some comment/feedback on two other postings by other students. With comments on two other posts, your post will be visible for grading.
- You are expected to uphold the highest conduct in your posts and commentary on the posts of others. You could disagree with others’ perspectives ‘without being disagreeable’. Also, ensure your comments provide further insight that moves the conversations forward. This formula has worked well for some students in providing useful feedback on earlier posts: state what you find interesting, or where you agree with an earlier post, and why. Find something you would state differently, would add to, or don’t agree with in all or some cases.
