Instructions
Write a white paper on Best Practices in ECE. See this week’s resources for information on how to write an effective white paper. Your white paper should clearly connect research, practice, and policy in ECE and will be based on the following scenario:
You are a successful teacher-leader in an urban setting who has been asked to write about what works especially well for the ECE program that you lead. You have been invited to write this paper for a local ECE professional organization because your ECE program could serve as a role model for other programs in your local area.
Organize your paper using the following headings:
- Introduction
- Information about your ECE program (this can be hypothetical)
- Early childhood education best practices
- ECE standards and guidelines related to best practices
- ECE policy with regard to standards and guidelines
- Developmentally appropriate education as best practices
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion in ECE best practices
- Summary and Conclusion
Be sure to support your arguments and ideas with evidence from current research in Early Childhood Education. Most of the research that you cite should be published within the past 5 years, but if you would like to include seminal works and explain their relevance, that is permitted. You may utilize references that you collected for your Annotated Bibliography in Week 1, resources from this course, and additional resources from the NCU Library.
Length: 4-5 pages, plus reference list
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
