Capstone Project Final Submission & Supplementary Materials
For your final Capstone Submission, you will upload your entire job application package, along with any appropriate supplementary materials for your job posting.
Supplemental Materials
During many application processes, various documents are required to support your verbal interview. Some examples include; a training program from a Strength & Conditioning Coach, an Injury Prevention Protocol from an Athletic Trainer, or a Teaching Philosophy from an Instructor.
Consider what would bolster your application and show examples of your work to prospective employers. While some of this may be similar to your portfolio work, this needs to be new, original ideas and information separate from your portfolio from this course.
There is no limit to the number of items that are appropriate for this section of the capstone, however, it is expected that each student does ample searching to understand what would be expected of them in their chosen career field and within the application process. At a minimum, 2 thorough examples of work should be provided.
This submission is to use the instructor’s feedback and peer questions/feedback from the interview process to finalize any missing parts of the application package.
What’s Due
1) Original Job Listing
2) Outline of Why You are a Good Candidate (from week 5 assignment with updates based on peer and instructor feedback) *In your outline place a reflective paragraph or two, before the start of your outline stating your adjustments from week 5, list and describe your supplementary material, and what you learned throughout the Job interview process.)
3) Job Interview Presentation
4) Supplemental Materials
Your Capstone Project should be submitted using any and all formats best suited to display your work. For example an employee manual in Microsoft Word, an employee schedule in Excel, a YouTube video to showcase a training procedure or teaching philosophy (and obviously your interview), and a Power Point presentation for a facility plan. You have a great deal of latitude with how your Capstone Project is presented and what appears inside the supplemental materials. This is not necessarily a one-document project. Ensure it is professional and as succinct as possible.
