what are the potential benefits and drawbacks of using monoclonal antibody treatment alone versus in combination with other drugs for cancer treatment?

A
systematic review protocol will compose of introducing your topic of choice,
explaining your literature search and plan of how you will achieve this. The
assessment should also include the critical evaluation of one key original
research article. You will introduce the article, before analysing the methods,
results and findings of this article,
two sections 3000 words in total.

section one: systematic review
2000 words, 70% of grade
my topic: what are the potential benefits and drawbacks of using monoclonal antibody treatment alone versus in combination with other drugs for cancer treatment?

Title – This should summarise the contents of the
protocol.

Introduction

This section covers an introduction to the topic of your
project. You will outline the main body of literature within this area,
starting by introducing the broad themes around the topic before discussing key
and detailed information. You should bring together multiple resources to
define what research has already been done in the area and what gaps are
missing, including the need for this review. You should provide a justification
of the review, including the importance of this research and the impact this
will have, with real-world applications. This could cover social, economic, or
biological perspectives, or the benefit to health care and consumers.

You need to include a clear and concise aim, followed by a
few specific objectives. A research hypothesis should also be provided – this
needs to be testable, unbiased and falsifiable.

Methods

This section should first begin with you outlining any
ethical issues, health and safety or risk assessment requirements arising from
this study, with reference to the appropriate university forms.

You should then include a comprehensive description of the
methodology which you will use, with full detail of each procedure, the data
which you will collect from these methods and how it will be analysed. This
section should include your search strategy, databases to be used, searched
terms, and inclusion and exclusion criteria. You should explain what data will
be extracted from each primary study and how you will synthesise, analyse and
present is data. The methods section should be written in paragraphs and in
third person future tense.

Plan of work

This section should include a timeline of key procedures
throughout the duration of your project. This could include but is not limited
to: conducting a literature review, testing your search criteria, extracting
data from primary research, collating the data, analysing data, writing a first
draft and submitting a final assignment. The plan should also be accompanied by
a GANTT chart.

second section: critical evaluation

1000 words, 30% of grade

article: attached

Reference – Firstly include a full Harvard reference
of the journal article which you will be discussing

Introduction

This section should include a short general introduction to
the article and the aims of the project and the importance of the research. You
should then explain why you chose this article, why it is relevant to your
research project, how it will influence, impact or be integrated into your
research project e.g. using the methods.

Methods

In this section, you should explain the key methods which
were used in your chosen journal article. You should include one strength and
one limitation of the method, with an alternative that could be used. This
section should be supported by further citations.

Results

In this section, you should include a table or figure which
has been used in the article. Be sure to include a table or figure tittle,
legend and citation to support this. You should explain what the figure or
article shows and provide detail on their variables, sampling strategy and
data.. For each of these you should also detail why they were used.

Findings

In this section, you should provide the one key finding from
the article and explain what impact this finding may have on science/research /
human population / or others (e.g. NHS). You should also explain how this
finding impacts your protocol specifically.

After this section, you should include a full reference list
in the Harvard referencing style. Visit the Leeds Beckett University website
and the Quote Unquote guide to ensure that you follow the correct format.

Overall: this will  be assessed on the overall ability to write a
good academic assignment. it will be graded on your writing style,
presentation, structure and layout e.g. use of subheadings, word count,
appropriate English language, scientific writing style, spelling and grammar,
citations and reference list format. The course regulations on word count apply
i.e. no penalty for up to 10% over the specified maximum, then 5% penalty for
any each 10% in excess of this.

everything should be referenced includong any figures and cited in harvard style, any amount of references is okay, but not too little and not too much.
