This is the rubric- For this assignment, you will write an essay that responds to the following questions: What is the most important theme or event in pre-Confederation Canadian histories to 1763? Why is that topic so significant? (5) • Analysis: Explanation of how each piece of evidence helps support your thesis. This is not summarizing the evidence, but rather analyzing it and showing how it proves your argument. (5) • Writing, style, and formatting: Your essay should be clearly written, 3-5 pages long, use the structure demonstrated in the Essay Template, and follow the Essay Checklist.
