You may also use the online Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (https://plato.stanford.edu/). Please give reasons for why the author thinks what they do, and explain why you agree or disagree with them. Do not simply give your opinions. Make sure to cite the proper sources for any ideas that are not your own.
Be clear. You are not writing to my teacher! Rather, you are writing to an intelligent reader who is
unfamiliar with your topic. Use simple, direct words and sentence structures. Avoid the
temptation to use big technical words that make you sound profound. Philosophical concepts are
often very difficult to begin with, and we do not want to make things even harder for our reader
by using needlessly complicated words and language! Good philosophical writing is clear and
direct. Explain everything that needs to be, do not leave anything open-ended.
