you will submit your Essay on one of the topics listed below. This must be an entire essay, meaning you will need an intro, body paragraph, and conclusion. You will be writing your opinion on the topic presented. Please make sure that whatever you write about your opinion/argument is backed up by what you are writing.
- What makes the Reconstruction era significant in U.S. history? What is its legacy? How did it affect the nation in the future? Ch 15
- In what ways did the progressive movement ignore or fail to address the needs and conditions of underrepresented groups? Why was this so? Ch 20
- Look at Truman’s decision to drop atomic bombs on Japan. What were the arguments for and against such action, and what led him to decide eventually? Was his decision justified? Ch 24
This will be a 500-600 word essay. Please do not try to write more than 600 words; however, you will not be penalized for going over by 10%. However, anything less than the 500-word minimum will see a higher penalty. I have attached a rubric outlining a basic overview of how I will assess the paper.
