Some information about me:
I am applying to the fashion design program in The New School’s Parsons school of design. I live in Saudi Arabia and hope to move to New York For university and learn skills in Fashion design and gain experience in the industry through work experience.
These are some vague points of what I would like to be included in this essay:

I heard great things about parsons and the creative environment during my time at the 100 brands initiative hosted by the fashion commission of the Saudi ministry of culture. With the CEO of the commission being Burak Cakmak, the former dean of admissions at parsons

In my research and experience in the industry no school was as recommended as The New School. It’s convenient location in the heart of Manhattan will expand my networking opportunities and allow me to be immersed in a creative environment. I worked for a year in the Fashion Commission of the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s 100 Brands initiative, where I got to brush shoulders with the most accomplished people in the industry and so many of them were Alumni of The New School and spoke so highly of it. The CEO of the fashion commission Burak Cakmak who is also the former dean of admissions of Parsons The New School, he recommended Parsons to the young designers in 100 brands initiative. The alum list of Parsons tells me that my fellow classmates would be the future innovators and creatives of the world, and being amongst them would give me future access to the greatest network in the industry. Something that really drew me to The New School is the ability to explore many mediums in my work. Having access to the different labs such as the 3D printing labs, which is a medium I am very interested in working with, is very alluring. If accepted into Parsons The New School I would benefit so much from the school’s reputation, amenities and location.
