Method, Empirical Data and Research Design:


This research employs a mixed methods approach to comprehensively understand why small businesses in Qatar prefer Instagram as their primary social media platform for business promotion and marketing. We used a mixed methods approach combining both qualitative and quantitative techniques to provide a holistic understanding of the phenomenon.


For the qualitative method used in this research, we conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with small business owners in Qatar. We asked them about their motivations and experience using instagram to run their business. 


In addition, we did a Quantitative structured survey to a representative sample of Qatari consumers. The survey was mainly focused on their interactions with small businesses on Instagram, their preferences for discovering and engaging with businesses on social media, and their purchasing behavior influenced by Instagram marketing. 


The software we used was Google Forms.


– Approximately 5 Qatari business owners will be interviewed to ensure diversity of perspectives.
