Will the tensions across the Taiwan Strait continue to escalate within the next one or two years?

1.

Begin with describing the question (e.g.
background, why it matters, etc) in one para-

graph. At the end of that paragraph, provide the key argument in brief.

2. Then develop  argument in more detail and relevant evidence. Which position
you

take is of secondary importance, but I want you to build a coherent,
theoretically in-

formed argument equipped with relevant empirical support.
3.

.
Next, make sure you address the alternative position and/or explanations.

4. .
Finish the paper with a conclusion, which summarizes the argument and
discusses how

the argument implies to any current/future application of this question (e.g.
policy sug-

gestions)

All citations MUST be Chicago style.
-Beijing wants a “peaceful” reunification of China therefore will most likely not be inclined to use       mlitary action within the next few years unless provoked.

I have attached the sources. I can attach more if needed or if you find any others that will help        strengthen the argument.
The primary sources used should be : Bush & Rigger (2019); Chu & Lin (2001) and Blanchette & Hass (2023). I also included an attachement with 2 videos on the issue under “Taiwan Videos” These are very helpful and can be used and quoted sources.
