Write about a real-life application of the topics in cognitive psychology. For instance, you may choose to write about eyewitness testimony, Alzheimer’s disease, or technological devices and academic performance. Regardless of the real-life topic you choose, be sure to provide specific examples and relate the topic to concrete aspects of the areas (e.g., attention, perception, memory, judgement, visual imagery, language, analogical reasoning). You should devote at least 3 pages to introducing the topic and relating it to different areas of the course. The second part of the term paper should focus on what you believe is missing in the research within your chosen topic. Discuss future directions you believe research should take in order to better understand or solve issues within the topic you have chosen. In addition, be sure to include a discussion of how research on the topic may consider diversity issues (e.g., gender, culture, socioeconomic status). You should also devote at least 3 pages to the second part of the paper.
The term paper must follow these general formatting guidelines:
- Use 1” margins; 12pt Times New Roman font, double spaced
- Should not contain excessive grammatical or spelling errors
- Note that a minimum of 6 pages of content is required, which does not include your reference page, name, title, etc.
- Must contain at least 5 scholarly references (peer-reviewed journal articles or book chapters, not websites).
