Step 1: Write your play It should be 7-to-12-minutes long or 7–15 pages long. Should be based on a fairy tale or mythological story. Should bring out an important societal issue that you want to teach an audience about. The play must be original and a “modern” telling with a twist. Although I am not too particular about the formatting of your script, the following link provided by the Dramatists Guild is a wonderful reference and starting point. Link: https://www.dramatistsguild.com/sites/default/files/2020-01/General-SFI-Formatting-Guidelines-Complete.pdf Step 2: Design or Perform Your Play: After writing your play, pick to either Act Out a portion of your play or design the set or costume Costume Design Option: Costume Design Paper (3 paragraphs or 200 words): Write a short paper detailing the costume choices for all 3 characters with a minimum of 1 paragraph for each. All “Costume Design” papers must be at least 3 paragraphs in length or 200 words minimum. Include research on the time period and style of your particular play. Provide 3 costume research images for each character detailing color, style, and time period. Papers should follow MLA formatting guidelines with a Works Cited page as well as in-text citations.
