You can see that Andrew Hoffman, in his book talk (the book is How Culture Shapes the Climate Change Debate) engages an ongoing conversation about climate change as a “rhetorical situation.”
In this report write five paragraphs as follows:
Paragraph 1: Summarize Hoffman’s book talk. You need to capture the main points. To cite the video see #57 (Palmquist and Wallraff 386).
Paragraph 2: Stemming from what you learned from Hoffman’s talk, discuss the social, technological, disciplinary, and cultural contexts that frame conversations about sustainability. What sources have you read or viewed to gain your information literacy?
Paragraph 3: Reflect on your writing process for your literacy narrative completed thus far. How have you managed the process from learning to planning and organizing to drafting? As far as designing use the standard MLA page format (Palmquist and Wallraff 394).
Paragraph 4: Write a paragraph summarizing the main idea, the thesis, of your literacy narrative. Discuss how information literacy about sustainability can make an interesting narrative about how and why your knowledge gained adds to your perspective.
Paragraph 5: Write a paragraph reflecting on the thought process that resulted in the thesis you have chosen and how this idea will interest other readers in the conversation. How will you support your narrative with other sources? Anticipate how this literacy initiative is an open process of continual knowledge building.
