Use size 12 fonts for the text (up to 28 for the title) and margins of 2.54cm (the default in Word). I recommend the Harvard style of referencing. It is the same style you have seen in the papers I have assigned. That is the paper is referenced as (author, year) in text and the full reference is given in a references section at the end.
