You will be expected to develop a brand-new product or service. Think for the amazing new inventions and market offerings that are pitched to investors. This necessarily needs to be something innovative and new to the market – be as creative as you want.

Content to Consider: 1. An overview of your product/service, including its uniqueness and/or innovation, 2. How your product/ service fills a gap in the market. You are advised to briefly refer to the market itself, including enlightening statistics e.g., size, growth rate, etc (if this data is available). 2. A segmentation analysis of the market (i.e., what variables will you use to effectively segment the market) and, thereafter, which segments will you choose to comprise your target market 3. A 4P’s (or 7P’s) analysis of the Marketing Mix. If the “Product” element has been comprehensively addressed at the beginning of the report, you do not need to repeat that here, but you may, of course, refer to this. Here, be sure to refer to positioning, which is achieved through the communications function of marketing, including advertising, product packaging, in store promotion, digital comms, etc. 4.
